New For 2014!

Building on the success of last year's cup event, we're excited to make the 2014 Simcoe County Cup even greater with the following new developments!

New! "School Teams Only" Divisions!
This year we are excited to provide 4 "School Team Only" divisions (Varsity Boys, Varsity Girls, Grade 7/8 Co-ed Competitive, Grade 7/8 Co-ed Recreational). The Superintendant of Facility Services for the Simcoe County District School Board has communicated that official school teams are permitted to enter Simcoe County Cup events provided all regular procedures for school teams are followed. The Simcoe County Cup and its organizers are committed to following these procedures and expectations set out jointly by the SCDSB and SMCDSB, and look forward to providing a great invitational tournament to the school hockey teams of Simcoe County!

New! Multiple Caliber-based Divisions!
In an effort to promote fair play" and balanced competition, we are introducing multiple divisions based on team caliber and ranking. Last year you spoke, and we listened!  All players will be required to provide their current level of play during the registration process.  As teams assemble and register, we will assess each team's caliber and place them in the appropriate division.  We will provide both Competitive and Recreational divisions for each age category. The result will be fair competition, and more fun for all involved!

New! Prizes for Winners!
Everyone loves to earn a reward for their success.  This year our amazing sponsors will be providing great prizes for our winning teams.  Keep an eye on this website to see what you'll be playing to win, as we announce our prize packages!

New! Easy Player and Team Registration for All!
We're committed to make the Simcoe County Cup as easy as possible for ALL involved.  Our goal is to make it possible for players, coaches, teachers, principals and parents top focus more on hockey and fun, and less on the administration of participating in an event.  Therefore we have introduced a great team and player registration process with the following great benefits:

  • Coaches (teachers, principals, parents) - Simply register your team name online at our website, and tell your players to go to the website and register under your team name. Players will register, indicate playing level, uniform size (if required), agree to our waiver, and pay their registration fee.  You can even log in and monitor your player registration progress and roster information. WE DO THE REST!  No fees to collect, no waivers to collect, no rosters to submit... just make sure your players get registered.  You even have the flexibility to register players on their behalf.
  • Players/Parents - Just go to our website and register online under your team name and coach. You'll provide your contact information, playing level, uniform size (if required), agree to our waiver, and pay your registration fee... you're done!
